2010 AAP Conference
"Co-Creating the World We Want"
June 25-27, Chicago, IL

February, 2010

Dear AAP members, colleagues and friends,

Tom YeomansI am writing this note to encourage all of you to attend the AAP Conference this year in Chicago.

I sense this is a key moment in our development as a community, one that we have been growing toward in the last years through the annual conferences and increased networking among us. In Brattleboro two years ago there was a marked sense of increased vitality and creativity, the presence of a new generation, and growing international participation. It is important to keep this momentum going, and the hundredth anniversary of the first use of the term "Psychosynthesis" by Roberto Assagioli to describe his work gives us an unusual moment to reflect on the past and what we have learned from it, as well as to look forward into the next one hundred years of work and development.

Further, we gather at a time of immense crisis on the planet--a time when there is an even greater need for psychosynthetic principles and practices. We have the opportunity right now to increase our collaboration and contribution as a professional community to the transformative possibilities this crisis is providing.

We need each other, every one of us, in order to do this most powerfully and effectively. At the conference we have the chance to be physically together, to listen and learn from each other, and together to cohere and expand the field we all care so deeply about. It is an opportunity that will not come again in quite the same way-a chance to strengthen a foundation on which much good future work can rest.

Please come if you possibly can! I send every good wish for your life and work.

Cordially,

Tom Yeomans
